Ana Matran-Fernandez is a PhD student in completion and senior research officer in the Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering Laboratory in the University of Essex. She obtained her undergraduate degree as a Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain) and her MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Surrey (UK). She joined the Essex BCI-NE lab in 2012 to do her PhD in collaborative Brain-Computer Interfaces. She visited NASA JPL as a fellow researcher in 2013. Her research interests include neural interfaces, machine learning and biomedical signal processing.
