Francesco Clemente

Francesco Clemente received his BSc degree and MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy, respectively in 2009 and 2012. His master thesis work, developed within the Artificial Hands Lab of the BioRobotics Institute (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy), involved the mechanical design of an upper limb prosthesis for transradial amputees. He is a research engineer at Prensilia since 2013 and has a wide experience in the design and development of mechatronic systems for prosthetics, including non-invasive sensory feedback interfaces. He filed 2 patents on this topic and authored several peer reviewed scientific papers on scientific journals in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation robotics.
