Leonardo Cappello is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy, where he works on the project of advanced robotic prosthesis for upper extremities, advised by Prof. Christian Cipriani and Prof. Marco Controzzi. Previously, he worked at Harvard University as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the team led by Prof. Conor Walsh on the design of soft wearable assistive robotics for the upper limb. He was visiting Ph.D. student at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore during his Ph.D. in Robotics, which he obtained from the Italian Institute of Technology in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Masia. He obtained the BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 and the MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2011 from the University of Florence. His research interests include prosthetics and orthotics, haptics, assistive and rehabilitation robotics, soft robotics, and neurosciences.
