Lorenzo Bassi Luciani received the B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineer and M.Sc. degrees in automotive engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2005 and 2008, respectively and the Ph.D. in Microsystems Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata c/o Istituto di BioRobotica, SSSA, Pisa, Italy, in 2014. He worked as Post-Doc Fellow at SSSA as project engineer of Artificial Hands Area. He collaborated with Tecnalia Italy, Pontedera, Italy in 2012-2014 and worked in Tecnalia R&I, San Sebastian, Spain in 2014-2015. He is collaborating with Prensilia since 2012 as a mechanical designer and has a wide experience in design and development of mechatronic systems for prosthetics. His research interests include the development of new mechatronics prototypes, the design and implementation of new solutions, with focus in the robotic and biomedical research fields. He has filed 3 patents and authored several peer reviewed scientific papers on international journals.
